Incredible anatomical detail cast directly from specially selected natural specimens. All foramens and fissures are present. Made from extremely durable material which will not deteriorate with age and is unbreakable in normal use. Both upper and lower extremities are removable with simple hardware to allow for individual study. The Skull (31 teeth) can also be removed from cervical vertebrae. Skull is 4 parts calvarium mandible held with 2 springs and a flap on the mandible to expose pre- molars and molars. The skeleton stand works by a rod that extends from the sacrum and connects to a post running to the 5 spoke stand on wheels. It is very easy to remove the skeleton from the stand.
This advanced skeleton includes more than perfect replication of human bones - over 500 muscle insertion and origin points are individually hand-painted by German craftsmen with indelible paint for a lasting finish. Muscle insertion points are blue; muscle origins are painted in red. Includes a comprehensive numbered key for ease of study.
The skeleton is approximately 6 feet tall (including the stand), 16 inches wide and 10 inches deep. Weight is approximately 25 lbs. The stand has a 23.5 inch radius. This skeleton comes complete with a 5-leg safety stand with casters, and includes a dust cover.
